I'll burn your house on Sunday morning
It's Sunday 8am, your house is burning
I'll burn your house on Sunday morning
Your house has burnt, but I'm ain't learning
any of your lessons
Can I get another blessing
from the priest who lives next door?
That's what I pay him for
He said I would live forever,
if only I could get to heaven
Could you hold my hand?
I lost all of my friends
Now I'm so lonely
You were my one and only

Grizzly Man from marit karlsen / trust me records on Vimeo.

I've been watching him for seven days
His hands pale hee-ho-hee-ho-hee-ho
knuckles moving beneath the skin
foetuslike hee-ho-hee-ho-hee-ho

I've caught seven foxes

and placed them on the river bank
each night I give him one hee-ho-hee-ho-hee-ho
counting down the days till we are one
and clothe his heart in fur hee-ho-hee-ho-hee-ho

I sing of arms and the man his
arms that wake each morning
white-knuckled and that copy claw gestures
7 6 5
7 6 5
7 6 5 4 3 2 1 and here I go...

I take him in I take this body whole
so thin like a spine hee-ho-hee-ho-hee-ho
I thread him on inside of mine
and we are one and we are one hee-ho-hee-ho-heeeee-ho

and his is the fur at last I
see his eyes inside my mouth
even when he sneaks into my bones
forever unborn
now finally I am a mother
finallyIamamotherhee-ho-hee-ho-hee-ho

Michael Kenna
Photography, for me, is not about copying the world. I’m not really interested in making an accurate copy of what I see out there. I think one of photography’s strongest elements is its ability to record a part of the world, but also to integrate with the individual photographer’s aesthetic sense. The combined result is an interpretation – and the interpretation, I think, is what is interesting – when the subject goes through the filter of an individual human mind and emerges in a changed state – not the duplication or the recording of something.

other people want to be other people

I wonder if people sometimes wanna be me..
Because i often want to be other people.
Personal life is complicated, messy, dark, twisted
and just generally all fucked up.

But then when you look at other people's lives
everything just looks so light and easy.

I often want to be other people...
But then again, maybe other people don't want to be themselves...

Loneliness

Setting sun
and a man in the middle of
a very old street.

Friday, 26 March 2010

evening

footsteps in the darkness
dimmed light
sweet smell and swirling smoke
warm cup of green tea
the sound of rain
soft whispers
and
a little butterfly trapped behind a window

stand.

And then you stand alone.

When everyone else is gone
you suddenly realise they
were never really there.

Oh what relief to worry
only about yourself and
forget all else, forget all.

Just stand alone.

Stoney- Best Laid Plans

There was me with my pride
Standing our ground, standing our ground
We stood and yelled at the tide
To turn around, to turn around

Well that day would outlive
Our best laid plans, our best laid plans
Something just had to give
And my castle gave itself back to the sand

I was my own and everyone's fool
Mutton dressed up as lamb
But now the emperors clothes have been torn
I can see what I am

So hold my hat for a while
So I feel the rain, so I feel the rain
Take an inch from your mile
And start again, and start again

Put a little light in my soul
You shine I'll glow, you shine I'll glow
See I'm hollow and cold
So let me be the lantern that you hold

And If I take myself seriously
Then I just get confused
They say those who can laugh at themselves
Will never cease to be amused

I wanna find you
I wanna find you
(fall in love again)
I wanna find you again
I wanna find you
I wanna find you
(the stillness of content)
I wanna find you again
