unfortunately life has no rules..
it has no boundaries
no logic
no plan that you could follow..

the randomness of life is the plan and the logic of life..
possibilities, circumstances, accidents
some people call it luck i say it's sheer coincidence.

next year things will be different...

you know what they say: the first day of the new year will determine your whole year..
well mine is going to be filled with
sleep,
great work experiences in small restaurants with funny and chatty managers,
long conversations with interesting people from all over the world,
good wine,
impressive fire performances,
amazing music and brilliant musicians,
excellent and friendly company,
sitting on the ground and just thinking,
epic midnight/early morning walks,
scary and suspicious security men who wish they had angry/hungry dogs and could make them chase the silly students that want to hang out at night in the territory their supposed to be looking after,
silly drunken boys checking me out,
sloppy handshakes,
frisky statues of men with sad eyes,
people constantly commenting on the street,
free rides up and down Cowgate,
violent chippy clients,
staring at shop windows while scary drunken men pass me by,
slightly too affectionate hugs and kisses from Brazilians,

discovering the whole truth only after looking at the pictures from the night before....

sadness.

things can never come back to what they were.
there will be experiences, that will stay with you.
there will be lost and forgotten ones as well.

even though you try you cannot ever go back.
there is only the present,
because the past is already behind.
and the future is not certain.

unfortunately
once lost is lots forever.
